The international day for the girl child which was held on the 11th of October 2022,at the chemical engineering theater of kaduna polytechnic.This event was headed by the women leader of Mass Communication department,Comrade Rukayya Usman

Girls child education is important .
A girl with an education is less likely to be forced into child marriage, experience violence or suffer from poor health; she is more likely to be able to break free from the cycle of poverty, contribute to a country’s economic growth and have a healthy family.em to compy.

Dr Comfort Madu,a senior lecturer in the school added that”as a lady it is necessary you have a skill to increase the enrollment of the female gender in the field of science, maths, engineering, politics etc”.

Mallan Sunusi buhari Rufa’i,A Representative of UNICEF Kaduna polytechnic in his speech speech on International girl child day…He celebrated girl child and also adresses on the effect of early marriage on girl child and the importance of education to a girl child.

HOD of the department Dr. Gambo Ibrahim Ahmad as the chief host and other successful women in the department in conjunction with Jamar foundation and AFSCAD the programme was held successfully as issues concerning the girl child was addressed amicably,issues such as gender inequality and what can be done,health of a girl child etc.

According to Comrade Rukayya Usmam”The girl child should be given an equal right in the society”
